What will the apprentice be doing?
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Apprentices start at level 4 and progress to Level 6. The apprenticeship istypicallyundertaken over five academic years, with teaching delivered in a series ofweek-longblocks at Harper Adams University, spread across the academic year. As apprentices, you will be fully enrolled as a student, andwork towards your Degree, but the fees will be coveredby your employer through a funding agreement.In the first year modules studied are:
Successful apprentices will achieve our BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management and then progress to the APC for full Chartered Membership of the RICS as part of the End Point Assessment. The degree incorporates both vocational and academic elements with supervision and ongoing assessment. Successfully completing the degree and End Point Assessment with RICS, guarantees completion of the Degree Apprenticeship Standard and generates the Apprenticeship Certificate

Things to consider
You will need to balance work, study and home life and manage different priorities for meeting deadlines at work and also for academic study. You will be supported by your employer and the university to do this but you will need to manage your time effectively in order to meet these potentially competing demands.
- Deal with and assist with various agricultural letting agreements, renewals and tenancy matters
- Assist with, and with the view over time to carry out professional work over a range of areas such as compensation claims, valuations, and planning applications
- Support the Agency team with new instructions and viewings
- Deal with and assist with Basic Payment Entitlement trading
- Basic Payment, Environmental Scheme and Grant related queries and support with applications
- Help facilitate Farm Dispersal Sales and Online Machinery Auctions
