What will the apprentice be doing?
Responsibilities Include:
You will be working with larger family and owner managed businesses across the North-West of England with most sectors covered.
Audit works closely with our general practice, digital and tax advisory teams to deliver a comprehensive client service.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
ACCA There are three levels including Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills and Strategic Professional. Applied Knowledge helps you understand the role of accounting in the business environment, and develop the practical skills and techniques expected of an accountant working in business. Applied Skills encourages you to develop a broad understanding of the role of accounting in business, and how to interpret financial information. By studying Strategic Professional, you'll learn advanced techniques, skills, and the professional ethics required of an accountant or consultant operating at a senior level. Once you've successfully passed you can apply to be a full member of ACCA. ACA ACA is a great option if you're looking to become a chartered accountant and work in accountancy and finance. It opens a wealth of opportunities, as you can specialise in specific areas or sectors, or work broadly across multiple industries. It consists of three levels: Certificate, Professional, and Advanced.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Our audit business is growing quickly, giving fantastic opportunities for progression to audit senior, manager and beyond for the right candidate.

- Reviewing clients' systems, processes and financial information to confirm that the accounts show a true and fair view.
- Talking to management about their business, results and future plans.
- Performing audit tests taken from our bespoke audit system.
- Using data analytics techniques to examine accounting records for unusual patterns and activity.
- Challenging management to get to the bottom of unexpected results or to better understand their accounting information.
- Working with the audit team to deliver a robust and effective audit
