What will the apprentice be doing?
This full time role will consist of numerous 6-month rotations around the Cranswick business, working within the Technical departments covering a range of Product areas from Fresh Food Production to Cooked Ready to Eat Food products, giving you a broad range of skills to prepare you for a supervisory/management role in Quality Management at the end of your Degree Apprenticeship.
A Quality Manager ensures that the food manufacturing process is safe by:
The six-month rotations will consist of business-critical project work depending on the site and product, shadowing the Quality and Technical teams within their day to day roles, networking with other apprentices and teams across the Cranswick business and finally working through their Food Industry Technical Professional degree with Sheffield Hallam University, of which 6 hours per week on average will be allocated study time, to be completed within working hours.

- Ensuring that all processing meets rigorous standards of quality and hygiene.
- Developing the skills, knowledge and qualities to develop into a Quality Management role at one of our Fresh or Added value food sites in the Hull area.

- You will be required to attend Sheffield Hallam University on a series of 4-day study blocks.
- The degree award is BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Food Technology.
