Following completion of the programme below you will join the Sensia engineering team with opportunity to follow Sensia's Technical Career Ladder development programme including support for continued development or professional body accreditations (e.g. IET, InstMC).

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent English, maths and science (Grade 9-4/A*-C) Essential
A Level or equivalent Maths, science and/or Level 3 Engineering (Grade Grade C or above/Pass) Essential
Things to consider
Successful candidates may be asked to accompany certain projects to a client's facility for installation or attend meetings with clients at their offices located within UK and internationally. Candidates should have a valid UK passport.
- Software programming of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) for SENSIA, Rockwell Automation (e.g., ControlLogix, Trusted, AADvance, FTView) and 3rd party products giving a broad range of automation industry experience
- Mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of control and safety system panels and IT equipment
- Functional testing of hardware using test equipment, and software testing & validation following pre-written test procedures
- Creating and peer-reviewing engineering documents, specifications and drawings for the design and manufacturing of control and safety systems
- Planning and controlling work scopes and projects including management of timelines and budgets
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- The Apprentice will be working towards the Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard
- Qualifications include Level 4 HNC in Engineering or Manufacturing
- College attendance will be at the Colchester Institute - Colchester Campus one day per week during term time
