About the apprenticeship
Duties
To complete a training programme as set out by the School of Psychology in conjunction with training provider as part of an apprenticeship scheme with a view to obtaining skills and expertise in general administration activities within higher education. The position will be based within the Education Team but working closely with other Apprentices covering other tasks within the School, including Reception.
As this is a training role it is expected that the postholder will work on campus full-time to ensure that line manager and colleague support is available. The University is committed to offering this flexibility, wherever the role and business need allows, supporting work-life balance.

Requirements
Skills
1. A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade A* to C including Maths and English
2. Ability to carry out a variety of administrative tasks, including writing accurately, clearly and concisely.
3. Ability to communicate with people effectively, courteously and with respect face to face, over the phone and online.
4. Ability to record information clearly and accurately to pass on to others.
5. Ability to apply confidentiality and discretion in an office environment.
6. Basic IT skills, including email, Microsoft Word documents and Microsoft Excel data entry.
7. Ability to carry out general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, arranging meetings and ordering supplies.
8. Ability to work well with your team, knowing how to support colleagues as appropriate.
9. Ability to plan and organise your own workload within agreed timelines as set by your Line Manager.
10. Willingness to complete NVQ qualification as part of a formal apprenticeship scheme
