What will the apprentice be doing?
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Training will be delivered weekly by inspire+ at a local venue and you will recieve ongoing training from a dedicated mentor in the workplace.
Successful apprentices will gain a Sport Coach Level 4 standard apprenticeship qualification.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Successful apprentices will be able to move into higher education or move into work within PE, coaching in schools/community setting.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Essential
BTEC or equivalent Sport (Grade Pass) Essential
- Support the provision of high-quality sports coaching before, during and after school
- Involve all children in physical education and adapting / running sessions to children with different abilities
- Give feedback to students on performance and help them to improve techniques and understanding
- Improve links with other local schools and partners to help with competitive sport and physical activity provision
- Support the delivery and organisation of fixtures and events
- Increase physical activity levels within the school (both pupils and staff) and the registration of attendance and reporting of data termly
- Increase physical activity during break and lunchtimes
- Support the delivery of Trust wide sports enrichment opportunities and attend these with the school
- Promote enrichment opportunities to pupils on an ongoing basis to build attendance.
- Plan fun, engaging coaching activities, sessions and programmes in a safe environment
- Update displays within the PE department on an ongoing basis
- Support the creation of the termly newsletter
