Description of Vacancy
Responsible for running marketing email campaigns and collecting databases.
Follow marketing calendar and make sure that all email campaigns are done on time and booked for further emailing.
Use Excel to fill spreadsheets with relevant info.
Check email marketing accounts and email all statistics to sales person on a daily basis.
Collect databases from exhibitor lists and other sources. Database collection will also involve usage of the internet searches and phone calls.
In addition to the above tasks, you will also assist office team with general admin duties.
An exciting apprenticeship position has arisen in a friendly and professional exhibition specialist company to join their sales and marketing department as the Apprentice Sales and Marketing Assistant.
Your core duties in this role will be to transfer data from catalogues onto spreadsheets using MS Excel, therefore good IT and attention to detail is required. You will also be in charge of running marketing email campaigns, managing marketing calendar and collecting databases. Alongside this your other core duties will be to obtain floor plans of the exhibitions by making email and phone enquiries to the event organisers.
There are other duties that form part of this role such as assisting the marketing team to organise databases and help the sales department by making telephone calls and sending out emails to potential clients.
You will also be required to assist the term with other general office duties as and when required such as answering the telephone, dealing with email, photocopying and filing.
For the right candidate it is possible that this apprenticeship may lead to the position of Marketing Manager in time.
This is an apprenticeship and so full training will be provided.
£4 per hour - £145 per week
Working days will be Monday to Friday
Working hours 9:00 am – 5:00pm
Lunch break 1:00pm – 1:45pm
Confident telephone manner
Natural ability and confidence in talking to people
Computer literate especially MS Excel
Good level of literacy and numeracy
Friendly and approachable
Willing to learn
Hardworking and committed
GCSE Grade A* to D in English and maths or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
