Compliance Engineer Apprentice

Compliance Engineers are the people who support internal delivery teams to ensure high standards of safe working regulations are met. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced Technicians in our Netex division, as well as branching out and working alone at times.

Our apprentice Compliance Engineers are responsible for providing customers with top-quality service while ensuring compliance requirements are followed, including environmental responsibilities. You’ll ensure we are meeting requirements and identify and eliminate potential risks. Responsibilities you’ll take on include: 

• Guiding the business on where partners might cause risk, such as meeting delivery requirements or Health & Safety issues 
• Ensuring partners align with industry standards to mitigate risks, avoiding any penalties or fines 
• Accounting for environmental risks to ensure partners are meeting environmental waste requirements

A passion for new technologies. Good organisation skills. A can-do approach. You’ll need a driving licence as this role comes with frequent travel needs, in and around your region. It’s also important you can be flexible and have good influencing skills as you’ll work with teams and leaders across the business. Other qualities we’d like to see include:

• Basic data analysis skills 
• Ability to multi-task across projects

What is involved with studying for an apprenticeship?  

Your apprenticeship is made up of learning on the job, but also gaining the academic skills to put into practice in your day-to-day job.  As a result, you'll complete the apprenticeship as part of a structured learning programme alongside working in the role. The learning programme is made up of a suite of modules and milestones and you’ll be required to evidence your work against these modules via tasks and assignments. For some apprenticeships, you may also undertake additional technical qualifications, which include studying for, and taking an exam. Once you have completed your modules and milestones, you’ll then move to your End Point Assessment (EPA) which is typically made up of an interview and a project. Once you pass this stage, you will receive your apprenticeship qualification with us.

Apprenticeship: Level 3 Business Administration  
Duration: 18 months  
Start Date: July 2023 
Requirements:  At least level 1 qualification in Maths and English and full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points 
Salary: Starting salary of £21,500, with an increase to £24,500 after 12 months. Final salaries can be from £27,500 + amazing benefits
