What you need to do in this job:

• Undertake the Business Admin (Level 2) NVQ qualification, which is part of your Apprenticeship. You will be provided with support from an external trainer and internal mentor. The course takes 12 months to complete.

• Assist with all aspects of the recruitment process; including, publishing job adverts, reviewing application forms / employment histories, requesting references and other pre-employment checks, correspondence with candidates, issuing contracts and updating the e-Recruitment system.

• Gather and review statistical information in relation to recruitment and other HR functions.

• Set up electronic personnel files and produce ID cards for new staff.

• Assist the HR Administrators, as required, with the renewal process for Disclosure and Barring (DBS) checks.

• Acknowledge resignation letters and assist with archiving files for staff that have left the organisation.

• Provide good customer service, by answering calls and emails, responding to the queries if possible, and recording and forwarding messages to other members of the HR team.

• Provide general administrative support; including, photocopying, franking outgoing post and opening incoming post, inputting data into the HR database and preparing mail merge letters.
