Overview:
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience as you complete a IT Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Service Desk Supervisor
Job purpose: 
To provide technical support to clients of Juvo IT

Principle Accountabilities

  • To meet personal targets through identifying problem causes to achieve a quick and permanent solution.  
  • To be able to work effectively as part of the team this includes maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.
  • To have a commercial awareness in relation to client and Sureline business risk and to handle each client in relation to their needs, there is a need to be able to work on specific allocated projects within agreed timescales this may include the need for client site visits as and when required.
  • There is the opportunity to maximise and benefit from the technical and non-technical training provided.

Competencies / What we are looking for: 

  • Customer service techniques are to include good telephone etiquette when dealing with problems, to be an active listener, be able to ask the right questions when drawing information for progressing Service Desk calls, know how to have a level of assertiveness, empathy and rapport when dealing with the customer base
  • To be able to take a logical approach to time and process management
  • Being able to prioritise is of paramount importance
  • Being able to work as part of a team, being calm, friendly and patient under pressure
  • To have the ability to retain information incorporated with an enthusiasm and commitment to learning

QA IT Systems and Networking Programme:

  • MS Exchange systems
  • Windows Server Operating systems
  • MS Office Suite
  • Hosted Email
  • Backup software e.g. Symantec/Veritas, Arcserve
  • Remote control software e.g. Dameware, VNC, RDP
  • Anti-Virus software e.g. Norton, McAfee
  • Imaging software e.g. Symantec Ghost
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Network Administration inc VPN
  • Installing/configuring peripherals

As well as:

  • Commercial awareness in relation to business risk
  • Car Driver (with daily use of car) as travelling with by a key feature to the duties

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:
Monday to Friday,
9am - 5:30pm,
37.5hrs a week.
