Job Summary

We develop intelligent systems and processes, which we continuously develop to stay ahead of the curve and solve the latest challenges in logistics.
To expand our team at our Colchester office, we are looking for an Operations apprentice.
In order to achieve further growth, we are searching for a trainee who is keen to start a career in Transport and Logistics. The apprentice role will assist in all our Operational departments in order to gain experience and a full understanding of current business activities.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Assisting the Operations desks
- Communicating with colleague’s and 3rd parties via telephone and email
- Process of transports/bookings/trailers via in house management system
- Preparation and distribution of documentation
- Dealing with queries
- General office duties
The successful applicant would not be expected to do all the above immediately and would receive training on each aspect in turn.

Things to consider
The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From April 2018 the ANMW was set at £3.70 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
