What will the apprentice be doing?
This level 4 apprenticeship involves working on a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Contract producing long term Lifecycle plans that maintain the Army's Estate on Salisbury Plain. Under the tutelage of experienced colleagues, the apprentice will acquire the skills and experience to draft and produce scope of work documents for Lifecycle funded construction projects with the aim of keeping the MOD's estate in a good and serviceable condition for the life of the PFI contract.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Essential skills required to do well in this role includes having good/excellent IT skills with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, as well as excellent written communication and presentation skills.
You should also be able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a wider team, identifying potential business risks and opportunities, and delivering high-quality service that meets or exceeds our customer's expectations in the most cost effective and timely manner and within agreed budget and process.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Upon successful completion, you will achieve the level 4 Construction Site Supervisor Higher Apprenticeship, which is underpinned with the HNC Construction Management.
You will be required to attend Southampton Solent University for day release during your apprenticeship programme.

- Observe and quickly learn and understand the business' health and safety procedures to ensure compliance with ADSL's Management System ensuring health and safety is at the forefront of everything we do.
- Assist the planning team in the liaison with Project Delivery Managers and Garrison Management Teams to ensure the Lifecyle projects can be delivered to time and cost.
- Work within the Planning team to ensure that the Lifecycle Plan is scheduled to minimise disruption to the client and customer.
