What will the apprentice be doing?
For existing systems, you will work with the Project Manager, and appropriate developers to understand the impact of new change requests from Clients, and what affect they may have on the existing system features. You will work with the wider team to determine appropriate solutions where impacts are realised.

For existing systems, you will work with the Project Manager, and appropriate developers to understand the impact of new change requests from Clients, and what affect they may have on the existing system features. You will work with the wider team to determine appropriate solutions where impacts are realised.
Role Responsibilities
- Monitoring the Service queue, and be the first point of triage
- Collaborate closely with other team members
- Execute all types of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
- Compare test outcomes against expected results, documenting these in the appropriate systems for tracking purposes
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
- Provide solutions within appropriate timelines, always adhering to SLAs
- Provide support and documentation for developed systems when required
Example Daily Tasks:
- Manage the incoming Service Desk queue, and liaise with PMs & Developers to assign tasks to the appropriate team member
- Liaise with Development team regarding items ready for test / scheduled releases
- Review User Stories & requirements to define test conditions & cases
- Review workload both personal and across the team with the Project Manager, to assess test input required on projects
Personal Profile:
The following traits should be ideal, but not mandatory:
- Keen eye for detail, with proven analysis skills
- Keen collaborator and team player
- Have some knowledge of varying types of testing
- Be time conscious, with an ability to find workarounds in a timely manner
- Be eloquent and able to explain issues / solutions clearly
- Be able to adapt to change, and alternating projects when development items are passed across for quality assurance
