Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work within our Hydro and Pump Engineering divisions.
The training programme offered by Gilkes will be exciting, in depth and structured. It will be a combination of practical work in our manufacturing facility and academic work in our pump and hydro design offices.

Qualifications
A Level or equivalent Engineering or relevant subject (Grade Pass) Essential
- CAD / draughting / technical drawings
- Mechanical design, component selection, design calculations, design reviews
- Analytical modelling - fluid dynamics and stress analysis
- Manufacturing

- Pump testing
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician course
- HNC in Engineering or Manufacturing disciplines
- Functional skills in English and maths if required
