The Tax and Accounts Senior will be responsible for:
- Personal Tax Return preparation for sole traders, professional athletes, and Company Directors
- Liaising directly with clients and attending client meetings
- Preparation of Annual Accounts for Limited Company clients
- Preparation of Corporate Tax Computations and CT600's
- Preparation of Quarterly/Monthly VAT Returns
- Business Development and on boarding of new clients
- Supervise a Tax and Accounts Assistant
The successful candidate would ideally have the below skills and experience:
- 1 years' experience in a similar role within accountancy practice
- Experience in compilation of financial statement to review stage
- Experience of cloud-based software (QuickBooks/Xero etc) would be an advantage
- Experience in preparation of Corporation or Personal Taxation computations
- Confident and professional communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- As an Accounting Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Accountancy Taxation Professional Apprenticeship at Level 7
- Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the ACCA, professional qualification
- The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Immediate prospect:
- Opportunity to progress into our premium clients; this involves directly dealing with very high level sports individuals and any business Accounts they may have. In this roles, you would have the opportunity to attend client meetings and also attend and present at educational seminars held at club facilities
Long term prospect:
- Progression into Supervisory role, and eventually management
