The main duties and tasks of a site supervisor apprentice are:
- Supervision of specialist contractors
- The control of health and safety standards on construction projects
- Recording, controlling and reporting progress on a construction project
- The minimisation of the environmental impact of construction projects
- Control of quality of works on a construction project
- Assisting commercial staff with the monitoring of costs on a construction project
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- The qualification you would be working for is the Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor (Standard) where we will be looking to partner with Waltham forest college to provide the training
- This training will be a paid study day each week, either on-campus or remote learning. You will also possibly have assessments done on-site as needed. Both of you will be responsible for managing / arranging with your line manager
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Typical job titles can include assistant site manager, assistant supervisor, or construction site supervisor. In the case of SME construction companies, the roles are likely to include site manager or site supervisor
