What will the apprentice be doing?
As an Apprentice Site Supervisor, you'll be joining a fast paced and growing construction company. The right candidate will be able to communicate at various levels clearly and effectively whilst maintaining key internal and external relationships. Support will be given to the right individual that is able to demonstrate their ability and willingness to take on all aspects of the role.
Key duties;
· Liaising with Sub-Contractors and reporting on progress
· Supervising construction workers
· Buying materials for each phase of the project.
· Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
· problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
· Liaising with the project team
· Using software to report, manage and control project documentation
· Working on-site in all weather
· Assisting the commercial manager to provide periodic reports
· Monitoring and maintaining the H&S of all operatives and visitors
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will come to City of Westminster College once a week to work towards HNC in Built Environment. Our dedicated assessor will also visit you at the workplace every 8-12 weeks to work on preparation for End Point Assessment.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
This role requires the individual to be self motivated and has the ability to work in a fast paced environment which requires clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
The right individual will be supported to progress through the apprentice programme and given the opportunity to become a Project Manager.
