What will the apprentice be doing?
Day-to-day, you will be:
- Working directly alongside the Lead Developer, shadowing everything they do to deliver internal and new client projects as part of the agency team
- Learning to develop and hone your skills across a number of frameworks and building web projects using Craft CMS
- Helping to support and maintain existing client websites, with an overview and understanding of code languages
- Communicating and collaborating with other teams and departments (design, strategy and content)
You'll need to be willing to learn, observe, listen and receive feedback on your work, and over time you'll gain valuable knowledge and expertise working across live projects. You'll receive hands-on training in a commercial agency environment, giving you everything you need to succeed within your career. Training is provided through Happy Ltd, a well-established, award winning training provider; working closely with industry experts. You will have one day per week for your apprenticeship work, this will include virtual group training sessions, working through online learning resources, and building a portfolio of evidence to showcase your skills and knowledge. All training sessions are practical, hands-on and proactive. We seek to make learning an enjoyable and involving experience.
This apprenticeship is the Software Developer Level 4 apprenticeship standard.What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
