About the apprenticeship
Duties
Working alongside Senior chefs within a busy kitchen environment
Slicing vegetables, meat and other ingredients
Ensuring the set nutritional and hygiene regulations are met
Accurately labelling and storing food items in the stores
Maintaining ingredient stocks
Providing assistance to the Senior Chefs
Preparing salads, sauces, side dishes and entrees for different course menus
Inspecting and setting out the plates
-Planning the daily kitchen duties in line with the Chef's prep list
-Ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained
-Adhere to and maintain Health & Safety, Food Hygiene including HACCAP standards and procedures

Ability to work with own initiative and part of a team
Have excellent attention to detail
Have excellent culinary and presentation skills - ensuring all dishes are prepared according to specification and served at the correct quality, portion size and temperature
Enthusiasm and Drive to succeed
