Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship in Southampton

A fantastic opportunity to work across all ages from 0-5 years old. Highfield Nursery School will support you in learning and developing new childcare skills. You can then take these skills and develop them after completing your apprenticeship.

As a Nursery Apprentice, you will contribute to a caring environment for children.

Your role will include you providing a place where children can learn. This will be through fun activities using their imagination.

You will be wary of their wellbeing and safety and ensure that the physical environment that they are in is safe for them.

You will follow the EYFS to ensure that the nursery continues to follow the regulations set out by Ofsted.

This is a small, family run nursery offering a homely feel whilst allowing the children to learn, develop and grown within a safe environment.

Your daily duties will include:

• Creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop
• Under supervision you will provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
• Acting as key worker to a small group of children and recording observations and planning for them
• Assisting with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Being aware of the nurseries policies and procedures and ensure they are followed
• Completing all work to desired timescales as set by personal tutor
