What will the apprentice be doing?
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Theapprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Sports Coach Level 4 standard. On completion the apprentice will receive a HNC in Community Coaching for England qualification. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
A route into University, teaching career, HLTA/TA. Further opportunities within our Trust.

Other Any Level 3 qualification (Grade Pass) Essential
Things to consider
You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be required to have a telephone interview with Yeovil College prior to your application being passed on. If a suitable candidate is found prior to the advertised closing date, it may close earlier so please apply early to avoid disappointment.
- Supporting class teacher in the delivery of PE lessons
- Running Lunchtime Clubs
- Running After School Clubs
- Delivering gross and fine motor interventions under the direction of the SENDCO
- On occasion deliver Teaching Assistant Support
