Job summary

St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices: St Barnabas House adult hospice in Worthing and Chestnut Tree House childrens hospice near Arundel in Sussex. We also have an office based in Eastbourne and Retail shops across Sussex.

This is an incredibly exciting time to join us at St Barnabas Hospices as we grow our workforce to deliver specialist palliative and end of life care, within which education plays a key role. This position will be an integral part of our Education Team and will work across both St Barnabas and Chestnut Tree House, as well as with external partners.

Main duties of the job

As an Apprentice Clinical Simulation Facilitator, you will be highly motivated and willing to develop, taking responsibility for setting up, operating, and maintaining simulation equipment (physical and technical) and other resources to support teaching within the organisation. You will also participate as a core member of faculty when necessary and hold administrative duties to support the smooth running of Simulation-Based Education.

The successful applicant will be supported:

  • Within the organisation by the Education and Clinical Teams with support from specialists in Simulation.
  • To successfully complete the Simulation Technician (Level 3 Education Technician) apprenticeship delivered by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
