An exciting opportunity has arisen for an apprenticeship position working alongside the Practice Manager at The Roseland Surgeries, a small rural, dispensing practice on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula, providing primary care services to approximately 3800 patients.
We are looking for a candidate with administrative and/or management skills, who is looking to further their skills to work within this very specific environment. The role will cover managing teams, project management, HR, IT, finances, public relations, and strategic planning. We are looking for a confident and resilient individual with good communication skills, able to understand and respond to the diverse and dynamic nature of the role, and adaptable to meet the ever-changing challenges of providing healthcare.
Previous primary care management experience is not essential for this role the successful candidate will undertake a Business Administration qualification at Level 5 via a local training platform and will be supported and mentored in-house by the existing Practice Manager to learn the nuances of running a busy General Practice. We can offer good rates of pay and access to the NHS Pension Scheme (a government workplace pension scheme is also available if preferred)
Main duties of the job
This role will encompass the day to day running of the surgery - staff management, finances, liaising with external agencies and patients.

About us
Roseland Surgeries is a small GP surgery, but covers a huge area geographically. We are a rural, dispensing practice with two partners and two salaried GPs, plus a complement of nursing staff.
We are a training practice with a GP Registrar and Year 5 medical students on placement. We have an in house physiotherapist, Primary Care Network Pharmacist and Social Prescriber.
