What will the apprentice be doing?
Your typical duties will include, but are not limited to:
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Year 1/2: Completion of a Level 4 Engineer Surveyor apprenticeship standard and associated End Point Assessment (EPA).
Year 3: Completion of Speedy's in-house engineering training programme.
When you are not in college completing your formal qualifications, you will be based in Wednesbury full time learning from our experienced engineers and practicing your skills ready to be signed off as a fully qualified engineer at the end of year 3.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will qualify as an engineer. You have many options for your career path, you may specialise in a certain department such as desgin, manufacturing, inspection or you may work your way up to mangerial postitions or even engineering director.

GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Essential

- Load testing
- Pull testing
- Occasional destructive testing
- Manning the rigging loft
- Inspection of lifting accessories
