Job Details
Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is excited to offer further opportunities to train to become a Nursing Associate. The current vacancies will be in Paediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU)/High Dependency Unit (HDU).
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY
This role in nursing leads to a nationally recognised qualification. You will work independently under the supervision of a fully qualified registered nurse, delivering high quality care which will include administering medications and other skills.
As a trainee you will be employed as a Band 3 Trainee Nursing Associate to a nationally agreed job description. This is a full time employed post to enable completion of the training course which is 24-27 months.
Main duties of the job
The training programme is Level 5 Foundation Degree delivered by The University of Sheffield. On successful completion of the training, you will have a recognised qualification as a Nursing Associate. Trainees will wear a dedicated uniform (where applicable) in training.
The trainee will have a base placement within Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust there will be opportunity to gain further experience across other NHS Trusts and Health providers within Sheffield through alternative placements as part of the program curriculum.
