This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing and friendly team with a supportive and collaborative ethos, to either take your first steps into a charity fundraising administrator role or develop your existing fundraising administration experience.

 

You will be enrolled on a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship, which will give you the chance to grow your skills and gain a formal qualification.

 

The role will involve contact with members of the public. You will be their first point of contact and will have lots of opportunities to showcase your excellent customer service skills and provide our supporters, members and volunteers with friendly and helpful advice. You will be instrumental in helping raise the Foundation’s profile and brand, increasing awareness of its activities as you do so.

 

Income generation and fundraising is a vital part of our strategy, and you will be responsible for ensuring monetary donations are acknowledged, processed and tracked on our database, as well as helping with the preparation of Gift Aid claims.

 

Reporting to the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will also assist with producing and monitoring digital content across our website and social media platforms, and help maintain our online shop and merchandise stocks for our Visitor Centres in Northern France and Ieper in Belgium. You will also have opportunities to assist with setting up meetings and taking minutes in additional to supporting projects, as they arise.

 

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • An understanding and appreciation of the CWGC’s role in commemorating Commonwealth casualties from both World Wars
  • Education to GSCE standard, or equivalent, including English and Mathematics
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience in an administrative role, including handling enquiries, data input, e-mails, routine correspondence etc
  • Excellent customer service and English communication skills
  • Self-motivation, independence, and ability to work within a team and build positive relationships
  • Ability to organise yourself and your workload well, meeting deadlines and targets

As an Apprentice you will be completing a Level 3 Business Administrator standard with Inspiro Learning.

You can start an apprenticeship whether you’re starting your career, want a change or you're upskilling in your current job. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship.

As an apprentice you’ll:

have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace

learn and train for a specific job

get paid and receive holiday leave

get hands-on experience in a real job

study for at least 20% of your working hours

complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship

be on a career path with lots of future potential
