About the apprenticeship
Duties
The main role of the Apprentice Operator Inspector will be to develop an understanding of how to ensure efficient use of equipment and resources in accordance with instruction. Under the direct supervision/guidance of a Training Companion or a qualified trainer, this role will help the apprentice gain the skills required to provide and maintain effective processing of customer components, without compromise to quality. This role will include process duties/techniques to meet production requirement under direct supervision. This role will involve interaction with internal operations, production and quality team. You will be enrolled onto a level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Performing Manufacturing Operations.
Requirements
Skills
An interest in Engineering and/or Science
A willingness to undertake an appropriate course of study, which will involve day release to XR Training and a degree of travel
Actively Participate in your individual training plan, completing required task/test in a timely manner
To study towards and complete a NVQ at level 2 and the Institute of Materials Finishing Foundation/Technician Certificate
Participate in team building activities as arranged as part of your training; this may include visits to customer sites, trade shows and other activities
Efficient and effective working - managing time to prioritise production deadlines
Good interpersonal and communication skills - working with others to provide information they need to complete tasks and eliminate production delays
Ability to work as part of a team - working flexibly and collaboratively to solve problems and exceed departmental targets
Read, understand and successfully interpret work requirements/quality plans
Identify parts with printed and/or electronic pictures
A customer focused ‘can do' attitude (internal customers and external customers)
Efficient and effective worker
Good relationship and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Able to follow and work within operating processes - exercising sound judgement at all times; suggesting operating improvements to support team delivery
Sound literacy and numerical skills
Taking personal ownership and responsibility for being professional, punctual, consistent and reliable
