Role overview:

As a Software Development Apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced engineering team to create and maintain responsive and visually appealing digital solutions. You will learn the fundamentals of software engineering, gain proficiency in our core technologies and other relevant skills. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with designers, strategists, marketing experts, and project managers to deliver high-quality digital products for our clients.

In this apprenticeship program, you will gain an understanding in the fundamentals of software development and web technologies through a mixture of classroom and industry experience. This will include Software Design fundamentals, Object Oriented Programming, Databases, Testing and Web Development. Don’t worry if you don’t know what these items mean, yet. This is a program that will start from the beginning of your journey as a software engineer.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of digital solutions
• Collaborate with the team to implement website features and functionality
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to web development
• Conduct research on emerging web development trends and best practices
• Support the team in various project-related tasks
• Shadow senior colleagues on client visits to gain knowledge and understanding of project process
• Join our engineering working groups and contribute to the knowledge sharing within the team
• Complete your learning plan on time, which may include passing exams, submitting workbooks and providing evidence of your development

Salary: £21,255 per annum

Working week: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
