You will be provided with full support and training to kick start your career, covering an Introduction to

• Bookkeeping: understand how to set up bookkeeping systems, process customer transactions, process supplier transactions and receipts and payments
• Principles of Bookkeeping Controls: use control accounts, reconcile a bank statement with the cash book, use the journal and produce trial balances
• Principles of Costing: understand the cost recording system within Bakkavor, use cost recording techniques,  provide information on actual and budgeted costs and income; use tools and techniques to support cost calculations
• The Business Environment: understand the principles of contract law, understand the external business environment, understand key principles of corporate social responsibility (CSR), ethics and sustainability and understand the impact of setting up different types of business entity. 
• You will develop your skills and knowledge partly through gaining a nationally recognized qualification as well as through work-based experience. 
• At the end of your programme, if you have successfully completed your apprenticeship and achieved the performance targets that we have set for you, you are guaranteed a permanent role with us.
• Scottish National 5 certificates grade A to C in English & Maths or equivalent.
