We are offering an exciting opportunity for you as aBusiness Admin Apprenticeto begin your career in the NHS. The role comes with lots of support and professional development from our friendly team who will help you build a career and take your first steps within United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
As a Business Administration Apprentice within our Talent Pool, you will embark on a comprehensive 15-month training programme working towards your Customer Service Level 2 apprenticeship. During your employment, you will be allocated to a department where you will work alongside colleagues delivering day-to-day administrative support and gaining a broad range of knowledge, skills, and competencies to support your onward progression and development. Full training and support will be provided throughout and we aim to support all of our apprentices into full-time permanent posts within the Trust prior to the end of the 15-month programme.
As part of this role, you will gain valuable experience in a wide variety of tasks, including - but not limited to:
- Compiling reports
- Data entry
- Answering emails, calls, and opening post
- Taking meeting notes
- Support with the co-ordination of training and other events
- Respond to queries
- Typing, scanning, and filing
The normal working shift pattern is 7.5 hours per day Mon-Friday.
You will need to demonstrate strong organisation and timekeeping skills, be able to work on your own initiative, take a flexible and adaptable approach to work, and be committed to achieving your Apprenticeship qualification.

This district general hospital serves the city of Lincoln and the North Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
Louth Hospital is set on the edge of the Wolds and serves the communities of Louth and the local area. It provides a number of services, including an outpatient department, diagnostic and surgical procedures, as well as a surgical ward.
