What will the apprentice be doing?
Initially you will learn skills to design formwork to assist the construction of foundations, walls, columns and floor slabs. We will provide a range of training and there are opportunities to develop your career into senior roles where you may have involvement in major projects in various construction sectors, i.e., high rise buildings.
You will learn to develop design solutions in accordance with a customer's design brief. This will involve producing design drawings, supporting calculations and quantification of equipment. You will be supported by a design team leader and your work will be checked by a suitably experienced member of the design team. Your designs will represent the most efficient and safe use of Doka equipment for the site team. You will learn to provide technical assistance to the customer from the preliminary stage of a project to its completion, in collaboration with the sales and operations personnel.

Level 4 Civil Engineers Senior Technician standard
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
There are opportunities to develop your career into senior roles where you may have involvement in major projects in various construction sectors, i.e. high rise buildings. After your apprenticeship, you have the opportunity to became a junior Formwork Designer and progress to more senior engineering roles in the future.
