You will achieve a Level 4 Manufacturing Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, by studying for a BTEC HNC Level 4 with one day a week at Havant and South Downs College for taught lessons and four days at your place of work for on the job training and learning with a monthly visit from your Apprenticeship Assessor.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After successful completion of your apprenticeship, Meggitt will review further employment opportunities and potential for higher education training available to you - dependant on your performance.

- Participates in engineering activities to define product requirements, create designs, perform simulation testing, validate final hardware components, manufacture products and ensure quality standards met
- Under direct supervision can apply relevant standards/specifications
Is able to identify basic risks associated with a design and manufacture of products - Has a basic theoretical knowledge of engineering principles in one area
- Helps maintain 6S and HSE standards
- Performs mechanical component development and integration using Computer Aided-Design (CAD) concepts using basic applicable methods
- Under close supervision, provides expertise in designing, developing, manufacturing and testing mechanical components
- Rudimentary skills to troubleshoot rigs and implement fixes
- Ability to apply with coaching a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving
- Understands the need to estimate, budget, and control costs associated with project execution
