A small, but well-respected marketing agency with clients in a wide variety of business sectors is looking for an Database Development Apprentice, to join their busy team. Working closely alongside the Managing Director, Senior Account Manager and production team. It is a great opportunity to get involved with a wide variety of marketing activities for someone who can work as part of a team and also pro-actively on their own initiative.

Responsibilities of the Database Development Apprentice:

* Responsible to the Commercial Director, Managing Director and Senior Account Manager

* Helping to promote the company

* Working with the Managing Director, Account Manager and web developers to develop digital media and database output and management.

* Liaising with clients, maintain notes and records of client meetings.

* Helping to develop, cleanse maintain and manage the Insightly CRM, and maintaining and growing contact databases for outgoing marketing and telemarketing

* Assisting with the management of client digital and database output - maintaining LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter (etc.) output, monitoring statistics and producing monthly reports on progress.

* To assist the design and web development teams with placement of artwork to social media and web pages.

Requirements of Apprentice in Database Development Apprentice

* You are likely to have a desire to build a career in marketing and database construction, enhancement and management

* An interest in and an understanding of social media, digital media and databases generally.

* A proactive attitude and a willingness to get involved.

* A familiarity with Microsoft Office / Google Docs is essential.

Role Details - Client Account Management:

* Daily communication as the main (or second) point of contact with a variety of clients via email & telephone to ensure they are content with the work being done on their account and to demonstrate the availability of support should they need it.

* Arranging client meetings, planning & preparing well-presented meeting content e.g. agendas, database statistics & project schedules, attending meetings and chairing/co- chairing them/presenting all completed work, preparing follow-up meeting documents & circulating e.g. action plans & minutes.

* Setting up & managing project list schedules for clients and monitoring progress.

* Attending and contributing to regular client strategy meetings (internal) where priority projects are discussed for each client & plans are made on how to tackle them.

* Ensuring all time spent on client accounts is logged in Paymo (time management software).

* Taking incoming briefs from clients and relaying them to the relevant internal development teams

* Prioritising projects for each client to ensure that all work is complete to the specified or estimated deadline.

Production Work for Clients:

Database management which includes: the posting, follower building, profile developing and statistics monitoring of Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other platforms on request.

Sales-funnel management which includes: taking brief notes from clients

CMS and CRM use for all clients proactively when it is clear that content is out of date or

needs to be changed for another reason.

Assisting in the planning/scoping out of new projects and strategies & helping to oversee the management of them including conducting industry research as & when necessary.

Internal & Business Development Work:

Management of all Nexus Creative database and CRM platforms

Management of any Nexus Creative media output via databases

Assisting in the development of pitches for new business as well as attending the pitch if necessary & contributing.

Arranging & attending meetings (& meetings for other colleagues) with clients, potential new clients.

Managing ad-hoc projects as required

Working week:Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 5pm

Salary:GBP4.00 - GBP6.00 per hour

Training to be provided:

Software Developer Level 4

The successful candidate will undertake a two year nationally recognised qualification through TDM.

This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in a training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions. You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours which will lead to the achievement of the qualification. These block weeks will take place at either of our training centres, in Birmingham or Worcester, whichever is more suitable for your location.

You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.

This is a Level 4 qualification.
