Job Overview

Join our Internal Applications team based in our Brighton office, you will play a key role within the IT function in the performance, integrity and security of the Company's databases. You will be working within the Internal Applications team, to develop and maintain the internal applications associated databases. The role will be through our apprenticeship programme where you will learn everything about databases, you will be required to spend 20% of your time at college and study during the during of the course which will be agreed upon starting. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a genuine career to become a Data Architect in the future.

Job Role

* Work alongside Principal Data Architect to secure our database infrastructure

* Work alongside the Principal Data Architect to maintain our schema and implementations.

* Work alongside the Principal Data Architect to provide system administration functions ( user management, backup/restore, Point in time restores as required).

* Troubleshooting and Analysis of SQL / data tickets

* Assist Principal Data Architect in self service reports for end users

* Assist Principal Data Architect in ensuring data integrity by providing SQL Reports rather than direct access to the SQL Server databases

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

* Some administration experience would be advantageous but is not essential

* Excellent verbally and written communication skills

* Some experience or basic knowledge of database concepts is essential

* An excellent eye for detail and the ability to prioritise work
