Vacancy description
Main duties and responsibilities:
General:
- work in reception
- undertake other administrative and departmental tasks/duties
Data input:
- input data
Work with other agencies and the public:
- deal with a range of individuals and agencies in a friendly and efficient manner
- give and obtain relevant information subject to the duty of confidentiality to the client
Administration:
- undertake a range of administrative tasks relating to case files
- record messages and ensure that the relevant fee earner receives information in a relevant and timely manner
- deal with the post and the office diary in an efficient manner
Court work:
- provide a link between the firm and court staff regarding specific cases
Office environment:
- assist in work which maintains the fabric and quality of the work environment
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- computer literate, experience with Microsoft packages
- ability to work to tight deadlines
- ability to work as a team member
- good interpersonal skills, including good telephone manner
Personal qualities
- an understanding of the ethical principles of the firm
- ability to adapt to an office environment, e.g. carrying files, answering the 'phone
- willingness to participate in the day-to-day running of an office
- tact
Desired qualifications
GCSE (or equivalent), grades A*-C/9-4 are desirable, although not essential for this role.

Once completion of your apprenticeship, the employer will be looking to take you on as a permanent employee.
