Description of Vacancy

With accuracy and good attention to detail, the warehousing Apprentice will provide accurate distribution of goods to customers and gain an accredited qualification.

Warehousing & Distribution Apprentice needed for a busy warehouse environment, providing accurate distribution of goods to customers., demonstrating care and attention to handle stock and assets throughout.

Picking, packing and dispatching of orders ready for delivery

Prepare and print courier labels

Receiving of incoming deliveries, ensuring that the correct quantity of goods has been received and compare goods delivery notes with purchase orders

Store received goods as well as moving/organising of existing stock

Preparing and loading of goods onto van for delivery

Assist with stock checks and audits

Assisting with descaling, cleaning and checking of coffee & water equipment

Maintain a clean and safe working environment and adhere to health and safety regulations

Increase knowledge of company products and parts

Ensure effective communication across the business

 

Wage

£4.50 per hour £168.75 per week

 

Hours

Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm

37 ½ (paid)

1-hour lunch break (unpaid)

Numeracy
Literacy
Organisation skills

PC literate for data entry

 

Personal Qualities

Excellent attendance and punctuality
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Must have a flexible approach to work, with the ability to multi task
An open mind to further training and development
Good physical fitness

 

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths and English or equivalent Level 2 Qualification.

 

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work-based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
