Established in 2005, Morgan Hill delivers operational improvement to our clients by combining strategy with data analytics, AI, taxonomies and industry operating models to reveal opportunities for efficiencies and for growth.

We help our clients deploy highly successful, data supported strategies for a range of competencies including: pricing models, stocking models, investment portfolios and enterprise operating models that accurately reflect the cost of specific business competencies.

We operate in a range of industries including: Distribution, manufacturing, retail, telecoms and finance.

Website:

Number of staff: 10

Company performance:
The company has deliberately limited its engagements to working for the boards and executive teams of a handful of very well-known corporates until this year. This year it has broadened its objectives to deploy analytics and AI in support of the advisory services. It is this change of strategy that has led to the rapid growth being experienced now.

Company culture:
The culture is very much results oriented. We work at a very senior level within our clients and are commissioned because of the quality and pace of our deliveries. This is reflected in the way our staff are rewarded, ie there are few limits on what is possible.

Work-life balance:
We work around Europe and frequently travel. When the pressure is on then we are often expected to put in long hours and weekends to meet deadlines. The flip side to this is that we are very relaxed about our people taking time to do their own thing when the pressure is off. It is not a 9-5 environment.

Corporate social responsibility:
We frequently make donations to charity and currently that is the current extent of our social responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Working very closely with our consultants to understand the objectives and deliverables of the various engagements. To deliver support to their conclusions and recommendations based upon the data we have obtained.

Initial duties and responsibilities:
To become involved in one of our engagements.

Longer-term duties and responsibilities:
To work with the data science platform we use to apply machine learning techniques to data sets such that we can a) automate production of some analysis and b) create predictive models.

The platform we use is this: and we would expect some early exposure to it particularly on the data wrangling front.

We would also expect successful applicants to become closely involved with both our consulting and technical teams. The latter would include working with our software engineers to develop code in support of our engagements. This is typically, Java scripts, php, associated frameworks and databases.

Leading on a project:
In line with the company culture described above, leading on a data project with exposure to the client is likely to happen quickly but subject to competence and performance.

Training and Development opportunities:

We will deploy at least one senior consultant and one existing data analyst to work alongside any new recruit.
Accredited qualifications
We would expect formal certification on within a few months.

Level of Support:
How frequently will the intern meet their line manager? We would expect daily contact via Webex and, once an office is obtained in the Science Park then at least a weekly face to face.
Will they be allocated a mentor? Yes, a senior consultant

Other Benefits, Rewards and Recognition
Flexible working
Bonus
Travel

All the above are available to the right person.
