A short stroll from the lively Margate seafront, Marbleside Care has been a key part of the Thanet community for over fifty years.
This small but close-knit and passionate team works hard to provide first-class care to its residents, and they now have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to become part of their success.
Your roles will be varied and will include assisting with meals and supporting the integration with community-based activities.

Within this role you will provide the care and support required to help enable our residents to live independently. Tasks will include – but are not limited to – the following:
Shadowing more experienced staff members to help service users integrate with community-based activities
Assisting service users with mealtimes
Assisting with basic domestic duties
Updating service user care plans
Writing up reports
Completion of the Care Certificate
Wage
£129.50 per week with potential for more subject to good performance.
Hours
35 working hours per week.
The role is shift based and you may work any day of the week (including weekends) but will always get two days off each week.
Shifts are either: 08:00 – 15:00 or 15:00 – 22:00
Breaks can be taken as and when required (within reason) and are paid.
Desired Skills
The successful applicant should have good communication skills and feel comfortable speaking with people.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for somebody with a bright and bubbly personality who is willing to get stuck in and make a difference.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate should be aged 18 or above.
Qualifications Required
Minimum Grade D/3 or equivalent in English & Maths GCSE
The offer of apprenticeship will be subject to the receipt of 2 personal references and an Enhanced DBS check.
Training Provided
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
