What you will do in your working day
  • Successful candidates will deliver sport and physical activities to children and young people
  • Both in school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum and / or set programs of study
  • Deliver a range of OSHL, (Out of School Hours Learning) extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school and in school holiday periods 5 days a week including some evenings and weekends

The training you will be getting

The training will consist of online courses, webinars, classroom sessions and workplace visits with a tutor. On completion you will achieve a Level 4 Sports Coach qualification and Functional Skills as required.

Things to consider

A driving licence is a requirement as you will be expected to travel to various locations in and around the post code area. Please check this is possible on public transport, if you do not drive, before applying for this vacancy. if you would like to be considered for a level 4 apprenticeships you will need to be 18 years of age at the start of your apprenticeship, as you will be leading sessions and working with young people within a school environment, once your initial training is complete. Salary range to be discussed at interview stage and dependent on current qualifications and experience in a sports environment.
