What will the apprentice be doing?

This is a rotational role with 12 months in each of the following areas:
  • Inclusion & Diversity
  • Culture

Duties include:

Inclusion & Diversity rotation:
  • Assists the I&D team with ongoing support of various projects and campaigns including but not limited to colleague networks
  • Assists with the coordination, delivery and implementation of all engagement activities to support agreed group-wide awareness days
  • Manages project reporting against agreed timelines for all I&D projects
  • Supports the ongoing update of Eureka (intranet) pages
  • Undertakes desktop research to ensure Anglo American is aware of I&D global developments
  • Supports the I&D team to manage reporting requirements to demonstrate progress against agreed measures, analyse data and identify trends

Culture rotation:
  • Support the team with the roll out, coordination and delivery of new and reinvigorate culture campaigns
  • Supports the ongoing update of Eureka (intranet) pages
  • Support with any change management programmes

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

At the end of the apprenticeship, you will gain a Level 4 qualification in Project Management (APM PMQ). You will complete your studies online through BPP, and you'll be given one day per week to study throughout the duration of the course.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Our apprenticeships are specifically designed to give candidates a broad holistic overview of our business areas and to provide them with transferable skills. We supplement the skills and behaviours taught as part of apprenticeship with other training, which includes having access to our inhouse training portal. We've seen from previous cohorts that around 80% of our candidates find a more senior role with us or at another organisation.
