Are you interested in training to become a Diagnostic Radiographer?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake a degree apprenticeship programme at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in association with the University of Exeter.
The successful candidate will work within the Radiology department of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust as an apprentice Radiographer full time, with protected off-the-job training time to support their studies at the University of Exeter.
The degree apprenticeship is academically challenging and requires a highly motivated individual with excellent time management skills and an aptitude for learning. Upon completion of the degree apprenticeship, the post holder with earn a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging and will be eligible to register with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
The successful candidate will have a proven history of delivering high quality, compassionate patient care with the qualities required to meet the HCPCs standards of proficiency for Diagnostic Radiographers.
Main duties of the job
- To work in the multidisciplinary Radiology team working towards the trusts and department goals of delivering an outstanding imaging service. This will include involvement in all aspects of patient care. In the meantime, you will have extensive opportunity to learn the skills required of a Diagnostic Radiographer to prepare you for your future career.
- Complete extensive independent and educator led study to meet the requirements of the University of Exeter to proceed through the degree programme.
- Due to the nature of this collaborative degree process offers made following the selection process are conditional on your further acceptance to the University of Exeter programme. Successful candidates for university admission will meet the entry requirements indicated in the job description and the University's page for the programme.
