A Level or equivalent STEM Subject (Grade Minimum of C grade) Essential
- Working with many different types of ammunition and explosives, the role is varied and includes providing support to the delivery of trials, the selection and transportation of ammunition to firing ranges, ammunition inventory management, housekeeping of explosives buildings and general ammunition management duties
- OME technicians can carry out a range of technical, engineering and scientific activities which may include laboratory-based investigations,explosives range testing, engineering studies and scientific experimentation in their specialist field
The training you will be getting
- The successful candidate with achieve the Level 4 Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives Technician Apprenticeship Standard
- Lectures and on campus days will take place on a block release basis
- You will need to travel to University of Wales, Trinity St David, for on-site activities
- Travel and expenses within company policy will be reimbursed
