Simulation Technician - Apprentice - CIC
An exciting new post has been created for a Simulation Technician Apprentice, working primarily in the new simulation suite at the Cumberland Infirmary. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-directed, innovative candidate with excellent technical, multi-media and audio visual skills. This role will be to provide technical expertise and support for all simulation activities within the simulation centre.
The post holder will work as part of the Simulation Team, which is currently primarily based in the Education Centre at Cumberland Infirmary. The Simulation Team is part of the Medical Education Department which has oversight of both undergraduate and postgraduate education for all staff (Medical/Nursing/AHP) within the Trust, with links to regional training through Health Education England-North East
Main duties of the job
To provide first line care and maintenance of simulation, clinical skills, and audio visual equipment; this includes reporting of faults or repairs.
To assist with preparing rooms including simulation equipment to support training/education teaching, courses, assessments and examinations.
Trouble-shooting of technical issues within the service
Assist with real and simulated patients
To achieve L3 simulation technician apprenticeship including successful completion of the End-Point Assessment
