About the apprenticeship
Duties
Duties will include job shadowing a member of the company to learn the welding skills and methods needed to complete your apprenticeship. You will be working with metals and tools, therefore a mature attitude and awareness of health and safety responsibilities is essential and will be taught. Involvement with bespoke metalwork, balustrades, canopies, staircases, balconies and secondary steel work. Other labouring and general duties also to be carried out as required, e.g. maintaining a clean and tidy work area in line with health & safety working practices. Whilst in full-time employment you will undertake the following qualifications:
NVQ Diploma in Fabrication & Welding Engineering
VRQ Diploma in Engineering Technology
Essential Skills in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy
Additional information
Before applying for this position please ensure you are able to travel to and from the place of employment in Cardiff and to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a month. You will be employed full-time as an Apprentice Welder by this company based in Cardiff. You will be enrolled onto a level 2 apprenticeship in Welding & Fabrication.
