An exciting opportunity has arisen, for an apprentice to join an IT Support business, based in Stoke-on-Trent and Uttoxeter! You will provide support to customers and gain experience and knowledge whilst completing a level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification. What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties and repsonsibilities will include:

Provide technical support to our users of all ages in the operation of computers and technology.

Troubleshooting Servers, take prompt, effective action to solve problems and where appropriate, liaise with suppliers and maintenance companies to fix.

Monitor and sustain all operating systems, ensuring their at optimum performance.

Maintain in good working order, all hardware and software.

Ensure the functionality of all networking connections, active components and perform maintenance reviews as required.

Maintain Audio Visual equipment including Promethean and Smart Interactive Whiteboards and projector.

A basic knowledge of scripting using Visual Basic Scripts and MS Batch files would be an advantage.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Information Communications Technician Standard.
Apprenticeship training will be delivered in a classroom environment, from the EMA Derby Hub on Siddals Road, Derby.
You will have access to modern, high performance machines, in addition to having the opportunity to explore computer hardware with expert tutors and instructors.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The opportunity to progress into a full-time IT support role and progress onto a level 4 apprenticeship upon completion of level 3.
Annual wage - £14,000 Salary up to £18,000 depending on experience Working week
Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
Total hours per week: 37.5 hours a week
Expected duration - 15 Months
