What you will do in your working day
Task will will include but not limited to:
The training you will be getting
The succesful candidate will achieve a BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering Engineering degree.
The course is delivered on a day release basis. When the successful candidate is not attending University they will be embedding their learning on the job.
Apprentices without a Level 2 English and maths must complete this prior to taking the end-point assessment.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
The successful candidate will have a personal development plan in line with their careers aspirations.

GCSE or equivalent Science (Grade 5 - 9) Essential
A Level or equivalent 1 other Subject (Grade Minimum of C grade) Essential
A Level or equivalent Maths (Grade Minimum of C grade) Essential
A Level or equivalent Science based subject (Grade Minimum of C grade) Essential
Task will will include but not limited to:
- Designing functional electronic systems and circuits from component level
- Utilisation of modern CAD technology to implement circuit design with understanding of considerations for heat dissipation, electrical interference and other industry specific considerations affecting layout
- Develop basic project plans including resource planning, time planning, use of contingencies etc. also techniques for predicting pinch points and strategies for timescale recovery
- Develop test plans for a product that they have developed
