Responsibilities of the Apprentice - In this role, you will be:

  • Supporting the divisional and project management community to facilitate effective project control, delivery of projects and assist in the development of tools to predict, report & maintain project performance
  • Identifying areas of discrepancy and / or deviation
  • Learning from the technical teams to develop an understanding of the project portfolio
  • Seeking root-cause problems and find solutions
  • Working to set monthly project lifecycle deadlines that cannot be missed
Requirements and prospects Desired skills

You will ideally have:

  • IT skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • An interest in project management
  • An appreciation of cost, planning and project management principles/techniques
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Good telephone manners and a good attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet project/business deadlines
  • Reliability and will be conscientious
  • A willingness to learn and confidence to ask questions if unsure, as well as being able to challenge individuals
Personal qualities

Someone with an enthusiastic, professional attitude and a commitment to learning new skills.

Qualifications required

You will ideally have an A level or a Level 3 in a similar subject or holds an existing project management award i.e. Prince 2.

Future prospects 92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their Project Management apprenticeship. Additionally may be opportunities to undertake further learning such as Higher apprenticeships.
