Extech delivers comprehensive, proactive, IT services and support to small, medium and enterprise organisations that boost productivity and performance. We are a young and exciting office based in West Sussex, looking for a new team member. We have a requirement for a 2nd line support technician / Customer service operator.

Successful candidates will have some experience dealing with customers, have confidence at handling customer queries and have a strong background in IT. There will also be a requirement to help and manage the workbench build area were candidates will learn how to build new hardware, detect faults on customers' existing PC's and manage own service ticket queue's on database system Connectwise.

  • Deal directly with customers over the phone and electronically
  • Logging tickets for engineers
  • Be able to handle and resolve customer issues
  • Work directly with the engineering team to resolve issues if required
  • Build relationships with both customers & colleagues
  • Carry out some administrative tasks
  • Fault Diagnostics on hardware & software
  • New computer builds and configuration

Qualifications required
  • IT Related qualification at level 3 or A Level standard
  • 5 X GCSE'S A-C's including English & Maths or equivalent.
Future prospects A full time position as well as internal progression on to a 3rd line support role will be waiting for the right person upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and technical certifications.

Things to consider Driving licence is essential for this role due to the need to visit various locations. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
