As a Test Engineer on Vizia you'll be working within a highly-skilled team to understand the new functionality being developed, perform testing using both manual and automation test techniques, report issues and test the resulting fixes.

Vizia is the second product in Brandwatch's suite of products, a dynamic and customisable command centre that dramatically visualises real-time data in a beautiful way. The Vizia team develops the product that helps our clients become cutting edge by creating a multi-screen social media hub that showcases all of their social data in an engaging and stylish way.

What you need:

  • Solid experience with commercial web-based testing
  • Experience across both Manual and Automation Testing frameworks
  • Practical experience of working with Automation Testing tools, here we use Capybara and Cucumber
  • Proficient in developing test scripts from scratch using Ruby or similar
  • Proficiency in QA processes and agile development, including Behaviour Driven Development
  • Advanced knowledge of a range of web browsers and operating systems

The following would be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of Git and Jira
  • Ability to interrogate databases using SQL
  • Experience testing Restful API's
  • Continuous Integration experience utilising Jenkins or similar

Qualifications required

Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE's C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Future prospects Permanent position within the company.

Things to consider From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
