What you will do in your working day

Here's what your role as an apprentice will involve:
  • Developing your skills in a wide range of exciting projects
    Learning and using relevant design software
  • Being involved in client meetings and assisting in building key client relationships
  • You'll get to understand and learn digital skills, to help us harness technology in new ways
  • Your mentors will support you as you study towards nationally recognised qualifications and accreditation
  • You'll have dedicated time to spend at college or university to focus on your studies
  • The structure enables learners to combine the core modules and material in spatial planning with a specialist focus in fields such as urban regeneration, community based planning, economic development and urban resilience

The training you will be getting
  • Qualification- Successful apprentices will gain a Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) fully-accredited qualification from an RTPI accredited Planning School
  • Chartered Town Planner Level 7 Degree Apprenticeship, aligned to the Chartered Town Planner Apprenticeship Standard, allows learners to gain an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning funded by the Apprenticeship Levy
  • Professional registration- On completion of the apprenticeship successful apprentices will become Chartered Members of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and use the title Chartered Town Planner
  • Typical duration to gateway: 60 months (this does not include EPA period)
  • Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment
  • Training and training location to be confirmed
